SILVERTON SILVER CREEK INTAKE PROJECT RECEIVES HONOR AWARD FROM ACEC OREGON

Feb 10, 2025

The Silverton Silver Creek Intake project received an Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Oregon. The ACEC recognizes outstanding engineering projects that demonstrate “exceptional innovation, complexity, achievement, and value.”

The City of Silverton, Oregon and Keller worked together to complete a new raw water intake facility. Keller designed the replacement for the existing intake structure and pump station—which is expandable to a triplex system. Keeping the City’s unique needs in mind, the design also incorporated a new fish screen and backwash system, nearly 1,500 feet of pipeline, and trenchless rehabilitation of approximately 300 feet of additional pipeline. The project was completed on time and under budget.
