Out of the Office

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me exploring the Pacific Northwest. I love discovering new hiking trails, checking out local farmers markets, cycling around town, and playing board games with family and friends. I’m always planning my next adventure—whether it’s a spontaneous road trip or a visit to Turkey (where I lived for three years).

Fun Facts

I’ve lived in three countries and speak four languages, and my dog and I are both first-generation immigrants—me from Rasht, Iran, and him from South Korea. We’re equally food-motivated and enjoy long walks. I’ve always found creative ways to push boundaries—from shaving my head and dressing like a boy so I could bike and play soccer freely in Iran with no hijab, to following my dream of becoming a civil engineer and building a life in the U.S. These days, I channel that same energy into starting DIY home projects—and occasionally even finishing them.

Work History & Expertise

I bring over a decade of civil engineering experience spanning both design and construction. I began my career in Texas while completing my Master’s in Structural Engineering, working on bridge and infrastructure design projects. After relocating to the Pacific Northwest, I joined Skanska, where I was involved in managing complex construction projects—working closely with field teams, design consultants, and public agency clients to deliver high-profile infrastructure projects. I later joined WSDOT, where I led the delivery of large-scale transportation projects, managed consultant teams, and supported internal staff across planning, design, and construction phases. My experience in both the private and public sectors has shaped a well-rounded approach to project management, risk assessment, and stakeholder collaboration. Today, I lead Keller Associates’ Seattle area office, overseeing multidisciplinary municipal projects and building long-term partnerships with agencies across the region. My expertise includes project delivery, design management, municipal infrastructure, and team leadership.
