Out of the Office
I enjoy skiing, yoga, biking, traveling, hiking, backpacking, and concerts. When I travel, I try to immerse myself in the culture and try to walk as much as possible within each city or area.
Fun Facts
A couple nights a week or on weekends, I teach hot yoga at our local studio to foster my love of movement and dance. I am on the Whitman County Park Board and the City of Pullman Planning Commission to enhance and serve my community. I also serve on the executive committee of the Palouse Group Sierra Club to encourage the love of the outdoors and protection of wild spaces.
Work History & Expertise
I started my career using my geological engineering / geology background from University of Idaho (UI) to work at a geotechnical engineering firm. After completing my master’s degree at Washington State University (WSU) I started working in the civil engineering realm. I worked on the public side for a couple of years with the City of Pullman but transitioned to consulting engineer and haven’t looked back. My career has been focused on civil site design for municipal, residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and tribal development. The highlight of my career so far is working on Troy Hall at WSU, the ICCU Arena at UI, and the Idaho Avenue reconstruction at UI. I have worked on many Design-Build projects as well as LEED buildings including documenting the certification with USGBC. Stormwater design including floodplain modeling have also been a focus of my career, complementing civil site designs. I love a multi-faceted team and collaboration with other disciplines to bring a building and site to life.
